Whatever happened to the darker looking Zelda art style? When looking back at Ocarina of Time and Majora’s mask, Link’s adventures seemed to be taking place in a world of mystery, tragedy, romance etc.. by the support of its art style more so than the newer titles. I understand that Nintendo’s organizational strategy is to appeal to both hardcore and casual gamers but it is simply impossible to fully please both sides of the gamer spectrum. 100% satisfaction of both crowds simply can’t be met when facing tradeoffs and combining elements of hardcore and casual game design.
Don’t get me wrong, I loved Skyward Sword. I simply miss the darker, evil side of Zelda.
